Welcome to the WINAHEAD Website
We’re glad you’re here! This website was built for disability service
providers and students with disabilities. It has two main goals:
1) to facilitate
communication among college disability service providers in Nebraska
and western Iowa, and
2) to provide information to students with disabilities
(and those who support them)
who are currently enrolled, or plan to enroll, in a two or four-year
college or university.
WINAHEAD is made up of representatives from nineteen institutions.
Our members are professionals employed by two- and four-year
colleges and universities who work directly with students
with disabilities to ensure equal access to higher education. WIN
indicates the geographic area we represent: Western Iowa and Nebraska,
and
AHEAD is
our national parent organization, the Association on Higher Education
and Disability.
