Membership

If you fall into one of the three categories below, you are eligible to become a member of KanAHEAD. Please fill out the membership application and submit it to Holly Dressler, Access Office, Johnson County Community College, 12345 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS 66210.

Types of Memberships:

Membership in Kansas AHEAD will be of three types:
1) Active Professional,
2) Other Professional,
3) Retired.

1) Active Professional Membership:
- An active professional member shall be any individual working in a Kansas post-secondary educational institution to enhance post-secondary educational opportunities for students with disabilities.
- Each active professional must pay annual dues.
- Each active professional member is entitled to one vote.
- Each active professional member is eligible to hold office.

2) Other Professional Membership:
- Another professional member shall be any individual working in Kansas in a setting other than a post-secondary educational institution to enhance educational opportunities for students with disabilities.
- Each other professional member must pay annual dues.
- Each other professional member is entitled to one vote.

3) Retired Membership:
- A retired member shall be any individual who is retired from the profession of working to enhance educational opportunities for students with disabilities.
- Each retired member must pay annual dues.
- Each retired member is entitled to one vote.
