Ohio
Dear Accessibility/Disability Service Provider:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we’re pleased to announce that Ohio-AHEAD (OH-AHEAD) is officially up and running! We believe that this organization will be a great benefit to accessibility/disability service providers in the state of Ohio and we are excited to serve you well.
What we need, however, are MEMBERS to assist the organization in pursuing its goals of, among other things:
- strengthening professionalism among post-secondary accessibility/disability service providers,
- advocating for students in post-secondary arenas, and
- encouraging and supporting legislation beneficial to students with disabilities
Your membership in OH-AHEAD will allow you to connect with other accessibility/disability service providers in Ohio, allow you to share ideas, programs, or challenges with others in the state who are doing the same kind of work, and will provide many opportunities for professional growth.
Additionally, OH-AHEAD’s first “official” business meeting is scheduled for April 28, in conjunction with the 10th annual Multiple Perspectives on Access, Inclusion, and Disability, which will be held on The Ohio State University’s campus. The Multiple Perspectives conference is scheduled for April 27-28, and OH-AHEAD’s business meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 28. More information, specifically regarding the time and location, will be forthcoming, but please plan to join us!
As an introductory offer to the organization, membership registration is only $15 per individual for the remainder of the year (December 2010). Please consider joining OH-AHEAD today! Complete the membership and registration form and return it to Amy Quillin, Office of Student Accessibility Services, Kent State University PO Box 5190 Kent, Ohio 44242-0001.
We look forward to working with you!
Sincerely,
OHIO – AHEAD Board
