The Great Silent Auction Competition for SIGs
This year at the AHEAD Conference, we are going to have a great competition among the Special Interest Groups as part of the Silent Auction to help raise scholarship funds. Get your SIG group together and begin to think of your group participation in the SIG Theme Baskets. We are looking for the following type of baskets that SIG groups could put together to donate to the Silent Auction: (By no means complete, please think of others)
- Wine Basket: Members of SIG could contribute a wine from their area of the country for the SIG Wine Basket. We could have several of these.
- Movie Basket: Each member could contribute their favorite DVD movie (new of course)
- Disability Resource Basket—A basket of resource materials (books, etc. for Disability Service Providers)
- Chocolate Basket: A Basket of chocolates
Get your SIG together and create your Theme Basket to donate to the Silent Auction. We will be looking for:
- The Most Creative Basket
- The Highest Earning Basket
Remember the Silent Auction is for a good cause. It is to generate scholarship funds for students with disabilities and for AHEAD members who are pursuing advance degree training. So, come on, help contribute theme baskets from your SIG and raise the scholarship funds!
