Accessible Public Transportation in Reno
RTC RIDE (formerly CITIFARE), RTC ACCESS (formerly CITILIFT), and Sierra Spirit is a system operated by the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County. In addition to RTC RIDE, RTC operates a number of other transportation services to meet various community needs.
All buses have wheelchair lifts. There is bus transportation from the airport.
Reno-Tahoe is a quick one-stop connection anywhere in the world. Whether you want to go casino hopping, shopping, to museums and galleries, or wander around the art district, you’ll generally find an RTC RIDE bus nearby. Host Hotel
The luxurious Summit at the Grand Sierra Resort will serve as the host site for the AHEAD 2008 Conference. All conference events will be held onsite at the Grand Sierra.
AHEAD has secured a substantial block of sleeping rooms in the Summit at the Grand Sierra Resort to accommodate AHEAD 2008 attendees at the following discounted room rates:
Single or Double Occupancy: $120.00 + tax
Triple, Quadruple Occupancy and Suites are available at an additional cost; please call the hotel for rate information.
Attendees are responsible for making their own housing accommodation reservations directly with the hotel. Be sure to ask for the AHEAD Group Rate when making your reservation. Reservations must be made by June 15, 2008. After June 15, prevailing hotel rates will apply and will be based on availability at the time of booking.

Grand Sierra Resort Airport Shuttle
Transportation to and from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport is complimentary seven days a week and departs/arrives from the Resort front entrance every half hour beginning at 5:30 am with the last shuttle departing at 11:00 pm. Shuttles depart on the hour and the half-hour. The shuttle returns from the airport arriving to the resort on the quarter hour. The wheelchair accessible shuttles operate on a first-come, first-served basis. If you require accessible shuttle transportation services, you may want to re-confirm your arrival with the hotel at least 24 hours in advance.
