Silent Auction to Benefit the AHEAD Scholarship Program

Each year during the AHEAD Conference a committee of volunteers operates a Silent Auction to raise funds for AHEAD’s scholarship programs. We hope you will play a major role in the success of the AHEAD conference through participation in the Silent Auction -- both as a donor -- and bidder! Funds raised during the auction are used exclusively for student and member scholarships.

Please don’t “sit this one out” – there is plenty of time to “hustle” up donations to be auctioned off during the conference. Please keep in mind prizes that are easy to carry home. We suggest the following types of donations for AHEAD’s Silent Auction:

Items for travel and trips
Beach Towels
Arts and crafts representing geographic areas or ethnic groups
Gift certificates or gift cards for National or International chains such as book stores, restaurants, etc.
Art, jewelry
T-shirts, hats, mugs from your home institution
Theme Park Tickets
Books relevant to disability issues
Sports memorabilia - go Panthers
Baskets with regional edibles

Please send your donation(s) and a copy of the Auction Donor Sheet (Word doc 25KB) available for download from http://www.ahead.org/training/conference/2007_conf/Silent%20Auction%20Donation%20Sheet.doc (one sheet per item please) by Friday, June 22, 2007 to:

Want to bring your donation(s) to the Conference yourself? No problem!!

Just FAX (704-948-7779) or email your completed Auction Donor Sheet (Word doc 25KB) available for download from http://www.ahead.org/training/conference/2007_conf/Silent%20Auction%20Donation%20Sheet.doc (one for each item you plan to donate); then bring your Silent Auction donation(s) with you to the Conference and drop them off at the Silent Auction table (adjacent to Conference Registration) when you pick up your Conference materials.
