AHG 2020: Call for Proposals deadline extension and other news

By AHEAD posted 04-15-2020 01:58:03 PM

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and requests by presenters, Accessing Higher Ground (AHG) is extending its 1st round deadline to May 8. More Covid-19 news below.

AHG focuses on accessible media, universal design, best practices for Web & media design, accessible curriculum, alternate format and other topics related to accessibility and usability in higher education and other environments.

Special Universal Design & Accessibility in Curriculum Track

This year's conference will feature a special track on including content about UD and accessibility in university curriculum. Select the topic area "Including Accessibility In Curriculum" on the proposal form if you're interested in presenting this topic.

*If needed, a second round RFP will be announced shortly after the May 8 first-round deadline. Note: there is no guarantee that there will be a second round opportunity - last year there was not - and preference is given to 1st round proposals.

Covid-19 and the Accessing Higher Ground Conference

Since no one knows what the status of the pandemic and the ability of presenters to travel and speak at the conference will be in the fall, individuals will not be penalized for submitting a proposal and later declining to present at the conference onsite. We will be asking on the RFP if you would be willing to present remotely if the need arises to switch from an onsite to virtual event.
