J.W. Marriott Word Maps - Conference Meeting Rooms

All conference activities will be on the second and third floor of the J.W. Marriott at the south end of the building. The first, second and third floor can be accessed by:
1. Using the escalators located at the south end of the lobby (first floor) near the front entrance of the hotel,
2. From the elevator lobbies that serve guest rooms located near the north end of the hotel.
3. From the elevators serving floors 1-2-3 located on the first floor at the south end on the right (west) side near High Velocity Restaurant; second floor between Starbucks and the FedEX office, and the third floor between the north/south meeting room hallway – west of the top of the escalator.
4. There is an elevator at the west end of the second and third floor hallway, in the conference area, on the south wall that accesses floors 1-2-3 (first floor is not used for conference activity) and the parking garage beneath the conference area. See description in Second Floor

Registration Desk
The conference registration desk will be located on the third floor in the southeast corner. As you exit the escalator (going south) at the third floor continue traveling south and you will come to the Conference Registration Desk.

Second Floor
The second floor has Griffin Hall and meeting rooms 201 through 209. Access to all areas is from an east/west hallway that is approximately 30 feet wide (carpeted). From the guest room elevator lobbies, turn right (south) and walk to the end of the hallway, past Starbucks, and turn right (west). As you pass Starbucks, on your right (north wall) is the entrance to the Exhibit Hall (Griffin Hall). The doors to the Exhibit Hall are on your right. Continuing west past the Exhibit Hall on your right are meeting rooms 201 – 205. The doors to the meeting rooms are set back approximately 6 feet and each room has two doors – an east and west entrance to the room. Across the corridor from 201- 203 is the escalator that the access the first floor. Past 203 the corridor narrows and on your right (north) past 203 are rooms 205 and 205. Directly across the hall (south side) past the escalator are rooms 206 and 207 (although 207 will not be used for meetings), both having two doors to enter the meeting area. On the south wall past rooms 206 and 207, set back about 15 feet are (2) elevators access the first and third floor. The call button is located between the two cars.

Continuing west to the end of the hall past the elevators are a couple of meeting rooms 208 (left – south side) and 209 (right) that are not used for conference activities.

On the north side, past meeting rooms 201-205 is a hallway to the right (north). Turn right (north and the first door on the right (east) is the Women’s Restroom. The next door on the right (east) is the Men’s Room. The hallway is in a direct line (north) from the elevators. At the end of the hallway is a walkway to the Courtyard and Springhill Suites hotels.

Third Floor
The third floor has meeting rooms 300 – 312, the Grand Ballroom (Opening, plenary, banquet) and ballrooms 1-4, 7-10.

The meeting rooms 300 – 312 are on a north/south corridor that is approximately 10 feet wide. All rooms have 2 doors, set back from the hallway approximately 4 feet, and either door will provide access from the side of the room.

There are two exits the guest room elevator lobbies on the their floor. To the east you will enter the main north (left) south (right) hallway. Remember that the elevator lobby serving 1-4/23-33 floors must pass the 1-22 floor guest elevator lobby to get to the north end meeting rooms To the left (north) the meeting rooms number decrease with 308 and 307 on the left side. There is a staff service area and the room 301 – Emergency Stairs – room 300 being the last room (north) on your left (west) side.

Across the hall on the east side from the 1-22 floor guest elevator lobby is an alcove with chairs and couches for meeting/relaxing. To the north of the alcove on the east side are meeting rooms 306 – 305 – 304 – 303 and 302 at the north end of the hallway.

On the east side of the hallway, south of the Alcove across from the 1-4/23-33 floors guest elevators lobby are meeting rooms 309 and 310. Continuing south on the left (east) wall is the Men’s Restroom and on the right (west) is the Women’s Restroom. At the south end of the meeting room corridor on the west is meeting room 312 and on the east is meeting room 311 but these rooms are not used for conference activities. The area opens up and on the left (west) are the three elevators serving the floors 1 – 2 – 3 or continue east, past the north/south meeting room (300 to 312) hallway and locate the top of the escalator from the second floor as well as the conference Registration Desk on the right (south).

As you exit the guest room elevator lobbies and go west, there is a north/south corridor (parallel to the meeting room corridor) that accesses Ballroom meeting rooms (on your right – west side) north to south 1 – 2 – 3 – 4. Each of the ballrooms has a single door entrance. The entrance to Ballroom 3 is across from the three elevators serving floors 1 – 2 – 3 or continuing east to the escalator. Continuing south past Ballroom meeting room 4, turn left (east) to go to the Conference registration desk, or turn right (west) to go to the entrance to the Grand Ballroom on your right (north) or continue west past the Grand Ballroom and locate the Ballroom meeting rooms 7 – 10 on your right (north). Or,
At the top of the escalator continuing to the Registration Desk, turn right (west) and the hallway will take you past the entrance to the Grand Ballroom. Continue west and at the first right (north) is a hallway that access Ballroom meeting rooms 7 – 8 – 9 – 10. Ballroom meeting rooms 1- 4 are located on the east side of the Grand Ballroom and Ballroom meeting rooms 7 – 10 are located on the west side of the Grand Ballroom going from 7 at the south end to 10 at the north end. All ballrooms will be on your right (east) and have a single door entrance
Ballroom 4 will serve as the computer lab.
On the south wall across from the Ballroom meeting room’s 7 – 10 hallways are the (2) elevators access the first and second floor.

Restrooms
Second Floor
There are two sets of Men and Women’s Restrooms on the second floor, located in the hallway between the guest room elevator lobbies and FedEX Office, and in the north/south hallway (west end) that leads to the Courtyard and Springhill Suite hotel. As you enter the wall common to the main hallway has sinks with towels in ‘baskets’ on a shelf just above the sinks and disposal between sinks. There is a ‘vanity wall separating the sink area with stalls/urinals on the back wall (furthest from the door) of the facilities.

Third Floor
In the north/south meeting room hallway, the Men and Women’s Restrooms have two entrances, at the north and south end of the facility. As you enter the wall common to the main hallway has sinks with towels in ‘baskets’ on a shelf just above the sinks and disposal between sinks. There is a ‘vanity wall separating the sink area with stalls/urinals on the back wall (furthest from the door) of the facilities.
