Welcome to the AHEAD 2019 Virtual Conference!
If you’re not able to attend the AHEAD conference in Boston, Massachusetts this summer, don’t fret. You can still participate through AHEAD’s 2019 Virtual Conference! We'll live stream content directly to your office or home.
Here’s How it Works
- AHEAD broadcasts the opening plenary session and two concurrent presentations during each time block live, during the conference, complete with video, audio, and real-time captioning.
- Once you register, you will receive instructions via email for downloading the software and how to log in from your computer to access each session on the days and times shown.
- After the event, once the session recordings are captioned and posted, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access all 21 of the posted videos (20 concurrent sessions plus the plenary). The videos will be available for viewing for at least 1 year after the event but likely longer.
Ticket Types
Single Ticket
Play the seminar on your computer. You will need to select one session during each time frame to watch in live; however, you will have access to the captioned recordings of all 21 presentations after the event.
Group Ticket
Project the seminar in a meeting room or hall to as many of your colleagues as you like. You can share access to the recording of the event with any of your colleagues at your organization. You can stream the virtual conference to two locations, one for each track. You will have access to the captioned recordings of all 21 presentations after the event and can share access to the recording of the event with any of your colleagues at your institution.
Site add-on
This option, only available with when purchased with a group ticket, allows you to project or show the virtual conference at an additional site. Once you have purchased a group ticket, you can purchase as many “site add-ons” as needed. Each “site add-on” is $105 (member price) or $150 (non-member price) and provides an additional connection to the live event that can be projected to as many of your colleagues as you would like. Instructions for connecting to the event with a site add-on will be sent at least a week before the event.

Captioning
All of our online sessions include real-time captioning. We are using Adobe Connect to stream the virtual conference. The captioning will be transmitted through Adobe's captioning pod. The video recording of the webcast will be posted with captioning following the event.
Screenreader Access
Adobe Connect is screenreader accessible. We will post tips for using a screenreader with Adobe Connect before the event.
