Disability services offices spend a lot of time approving and implementing testing accommodations. But what do we know about their effectiveness? At noon EST (9 AM PST) January 8, the AHEAD Research KPC will host a webinar by Dr. Benjamin Lovett, Professor of Psychology and Education at Teachers Columbia College, to explore these questions. Dr. Lovett is a researcher and author of several books and dozens of peer-reviewed studies. His interests include evaluation processes for learning disabilities and ADHD and accommodations in the postsecondary setting. He has studied the effects of different testing accommodations (extended time, separate room, laptop for writing) on performance of students with and without disabilities and will also discuss which diagnostic data are helpful in making accommodations decisions.
