AHEAD is honored to be a partner of the National Service Inclusion Project (NSIP) along with several other organizations in an effort to encourage persons with disabilities to be involved with national service programs.

The purpose of this web page is to create an informational bridge:

(a) to assist AHEAD members and other postsecondary professionals learn more about national service organizations and how to get involved, and

(b) to help National Service professionals identify persons with disabilities who are interested in serving their communities on a national or local level.

NSIP is a Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) training and technical assistance provider. The organization works closely with Americorps, Learn and Serve America, and Senior Service Corps programs and provides onsite regional, state, and program training. A "Disability E-mail Discussion List" is available, individualized technical assistance, resources about disability and accessibility (ADA, Section 504, etc.), and online education and webinars.
