Publishing Opportunities in the JPED

Do you know about AHEAD’s journal, the Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability? Also known as the JPED, this journal is a prime outlet for sharing scholarship and best practices related to college students with disabilities and the wide ranging work of disability resource/service offices across campus.

As a scholarly journal, the JPED showcases research articles in every issue. Practice Briefs are another regular feature in the JPED. These articles are shorter, and as you may have guessed from the title, are focused on sharing innovative and effective approaches to disability resource/service work. If you are:

  • working in a disability resource/service office,
  • doing creative programming to support students and/or campus accessibility,
  • gathering and using data to inform your work, or
  • interested in sharing your work with colleagues,

Why don’t you consider submitting a Practice Brief for possible publication in the JPED?

The JPED Author Guidelines are available for review. Scroll down the page for specific information on submitting a Practice Brief.
