NC AHEAD Membership

Welcome to NC AHEAD! We invite you to join this professional organization which offers unparalleled professional resources for members invested in creating a welcoming higher education experience for individuals with disabilities.

Membership Year July 1 through June 30 each year.

Eligibility for Membership.  Any person actively employed in the area of disability services/resources at an institution of higher education.

Benefits of Membership

  1. Voting on organizational decisions and board representation
  2. Hold NC AHEAD Board of Director position
  3. Participate in monthly meetings and professional development opportunities
  4. Access the listserv hosted by NC AHEAD for requesting technical assistance and a community for discussion and resources to stay up-to-date on best practices, compliance and other issues facing disability service professionals daily
  5. Represented institution’s students are eligible for NC AHEAD student scholarships
  6. Eligibility for awards and professional scholarships
  7. Participate in NC AHEAD’s annual pilot mentoring program
  8. Discounts on annual NC AHEAD conferences

Categories of Membership. NC AHEAD offers three (3) classes of membership. Each membership category shall pay annual dues as established in accordance with the NC AHEAD Bylaws. Membership Categories are:


  1. Individual $35 paid by the individual (membership moves with the individual)
  2. Institutional: $ 35 paid by the Institution (membership is retained by the Institution)


  1. Institutional (includes 5 Members): $175 and includes 1 registration for either the Fall Conference
  2. Institutional Large (includes 10 Members): $350 and includes 2 registrations for either the Fall Conference

Additional Professional

  1. Only available for additions to the Institutional Memberships: $30

Joining NC AHEAD

The Annual Membership Drive is June 1st through August 31.

Members who have both completed the NC AHEAD Membership Form and paid in full by the last day of the membership drive will be placed into a raffle for the opportunity to win a $500 credit for an AHEAD Webinar Series or Virtual AHEAD conference registration.

Membership is still permitted beyond the membership drive and the membership will be valid through the membership year.

To join or renew complete the NC AHEAD Membership Form. If you are renewing your membership to NC AHEAD or joining NC AHEAD as an Institutional Member, you may add information for all institutional members on the Membership form.

Once registered, members will receive an invoice generated through PayPal from the email address NCAHEAD <>.
