Provide a range of administrative support and assistance duties in support of the efficient operation of a national, non-profit, member organization related to higher education and disability.
This is an in-office position in suburban Charlotte, North Carolina (Huntersville) and is not eligible for hybrid work or telecommuting.
Main job tasks and responsibilities
- Answer, screen, respond to, and distribute incoming communications in all forms, including phone call, email, mail, and fax
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, faxing, filing, mailing, document retrieval, etc.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems
- Assist in maintaining CRM membership database
- Resolve administrative problems and inquiries
- Prepare and edit documents, including correspondence, reports, memos, emails, etc.
- Arrange, schedule, and coordinate appointments and small meetings and events
- Coordinate travel arrangements for staff, Board of Directors, and other personnel
- Interact with and support internal and remote staff, members, and volunteers at all levels
- Coordinate publication inventory; pack and fill shipping orders
- Maintain office supply inventory
- Coordinate maintenance of office equipment
Education and experience
- Minimum of three years related experience providing similar support
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge the Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of standard office and administrative practices and principles
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; not required
