OK-AHEAD Scholarships

Students may apply for scholarship funding for any Oklahoma technology center, or any Oklahoma two‐year or four‐year college or university. Up to three scholarships will be awarded: one to a student who will or is currently attending a two‐year institution, another scholarship award for a student who will or is attending a four‐ year institution, and a third scholarship awarded to a student who attends or will attend an Oklahoma CareerTech institution in a full-time program. If there are no applicants from one of these institutions, the award will not be disbursed. The award amount will be up to $300.00 based on available OK‐AHEAD funds. Individuals can re‐apply each year. Scholarship money will be sent directly to the student’s bursar account at the start of the Fall or Spring semester.

 

Notification of Award

Scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of date and may be invited to attend the OK‐AHEAD Spring Conference and Awards Luncheon (date and location to be determined).

 

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • High school senior or current post‐secondary student with plans to pursue a degree or certification from an Oklahoma technology center or Oklahoma two‐year or four-year college/university*.
  • Provide documentation regarding disability such as a letter from a physician, IEP or 504documentation, or anything else you feel necessary to assist the scholarship coordinator in making a decision concerning your eligibility to be considered a person with a disability.
  • Enrolled in at least 6 hours of college classes or a full-time Career Tech program. (A student needs to be attending Career Tech 15 hours a week or more) and the class must meet the requirements of a full-time program.
  • Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or homeschool equivalent.

Instructions: 

1.  Complete and submit the online scholarship application OR the download the Word version of the scholarship application

2.  Attach or email the following:

  • Documentation of disability (no more than 10 pages)
  • One letter of recommendation
  • A copy of college or high school transcript or homeschool equivalent.
  • A formal acceptance letter or formal document verifying proof of future enrollment if available at the time of scholarship application (if not available at the time of application, proof will be required before scholarship award is disbursed).

Submit the complete scholarship application (online or Word) necessary documents to the OK-AHEAD Scholarship Coordinators.  

Email the Word application and/or necessary documents to the OK-AHEAD Scholarship Coordinators by March 1, 2024:
