The Wisconsin Association on Higher Education and Disability (WI AHEAD) is a statewide organization of professionals committed to full equity and participation in higher education for persons with disabilities. The Association is a vital resource for staff of college offices for people with disabilities, promoting excellence through collaboration, education and training.
Our Goals:
- To facilitate communication among college accessibility/disability service providers in Wisconsin to share information and strategies for effectively working with students with disabilities.
- To provide professional development training for members and for other professionals in the field of post-secondary disability services.
- To collaborate with state and community-based agencies committed to equal access for post-secondary students with disabilities.
- To explore emerging best practices for students with disabilities regarding equal access to higher education opportunities.
